According to the federal government, DBEs are for-profit small businesses where socially and economically disadvantaged individuals own at least a 51% interest and also control management and daily business operations. Urban has long supported DBE firms, and not because it is a requirement. We do it because it is crucial to our profession, our peers, and our principles.
